A live in Couple is required for a large family home in the Cotswolds, near Stow on the Wold. The couple will need to be trustworthy, discreet, honest, hardworking, able to work well in a team with the other staff members, be flexible, happy and friendly, and animal/children lovers. It is essential that as a couple you are healthy and fit and happy to turn your hand to any job.

Job Duties:

Housekeeper -

Taking on the role as Head Housekeeper - hands on cleaning ensuring the home is kept to a 5* hotel standard at all times
Bed changes
Cleaning all rooms in the homes, bathrooms, showers etc
Cleaning external outbuildings including gym, pool cabins, offices
Managing the cleaning staff and ensuring the standards are thorough
To assist with laundry and ironing as required
Excellent attention to detail is essential and the ability to manage a team is important
Occasional assistance in the evenings at weekends when the principal has guests with clearing plates/glasses and attending to any needs

Handyperson/Maintenance:

Animal Care - looking after all pets ensuring they are safe, clean, well - including dogs, rabbits, chickens and a rat
Cleaning bedding, hutches and cages
Egg collecting
Ordering new bedding/equipment for animals as appropriate
Taking to vets when required
Dog Walking Sole dog / pet care when family are away
Assisting gardeners with anything required
Leaf collecting, mowing, weeding, general outside household maintenance
DIY/Handyperson duties - maintenance jobs inside and outside of the home
Driving - must be a confident driver
Cleaning vehicles and driving different vehicles, maintaining vehicles, fuelling them

Some previous experience in a private household is preferred. The couple must both drive and have their own car to use in their free time. This job is in a rural location so only suited to a couple who enjoy living in the countryside. There is a duty car provided for work purposes only. The family consist of 2 adults and 3 children so it is important that the couple are child friendly.

Accommodation: Provided in a cottage opposite the main house. All bills covered.

Days and Hours of Work: Wednesday - Sunday: 7am - 4pm. If required to work later on occasions when guests are staying, then it would be a later morning start. Flexibility is important, and you must be happy to work every weekend.

Holiday Allowance: Statutory 20 days plus bank holidays. Holidays to be approved by the principal.

Salary: Depends on Experience.
