A live in Housekeeper is required for a private estate near Oxford. Driver essential, as well as previous private household experience, and longevity on CV. 5 day week to include weekends, with two days off during the week. Flexible attitude, lots of energy, and the ability to work to a 5* hotel standard is important. To start ASAP.
Duties will include, but not limited to:-
Household care, cleaning, organising, and managing.
Laundry and ironing.
Silver polishing and care for the family china.
Cleaning and caring for household valuables including art and rugs.
Flower arranging and table setting with flowers from the garden.
Laying fires, cleaning the fireplace, and booking the annual chimney sweep service.
Preparing for arrival of visitors, welcoming them, and caring for their various needs.
Detailed attention to the preparation and presentation of the bedlinens and bathrooms.
Wardrobe management, including delicate laundry care.
Making household purchases.
Supporting the family chef for food/grocery orders and deliveries.
Table service (formal and informal).
Covering events in Oxford and London (service, cleaning) as required.
Cook small simple meals if the chef is not present (but this is not a major part of the role).
Liaison with the London team including the PA and housekeeper.
Happy to help care for the family dog, including looking after it, walking, feeding and taking to vet.

A two bedroom property is provided that is separate from the main house, but is part of the Estate. All bills covered and the property is furnished. The housekeeper must be a driver with their own car to use for personal use (work car provided for work duties). The housekeeper should enjoy living in a rural location and love dogs and the countryside. This is a fabulous opportunity for the right person.
Salary depends on experience and expectations. Accommodation not suitable for children, but a well behaved dog may be considered.
